This emergent reader goes along with the essential question in BA: What makes things move? This informational book explains science content in easy to understand language. I am also starting to use it as a close read activity. We highlight inflectional endings, look for possessive nouns, text features, -s and -ing endings, vocabulary, etc. The skills are endless. I have used the book throughout the 3 week unit only because my students need extra practice reading the book and there are so many skills to review.
