This is an interactive, hands-on activity that actually uses basketball to reinforce previously reviewed concepts. Easily adapted to any content area, this game allows students to make plays, steals, rebounds, passes, and assists by correctly answering review questions. Of course, incorrect answers constitute fouls. This is a structured activity that can be played indoors or out. I use this in my Language Arts classroom to take the passivity out of grammar and literary analysis. Very few materials and little preparation needed to create an interactive, fun activity that kids kindergarten through high school can truly enjoy.
