Product Description
I absolutely LOVED using this in my classroom after our benchmark! I had my students reflect on their learning and their test and I believe it truly made a difference for them. This file is in a PPT file so it is editable to fit your needs/subject. I used it for my 5th graders and can definitely see older students using it as well (a variation/modified version can be used for younger grades; page one). I had my students reflect in a four step process:

1. Self Reflect: Students went through each problem and rated how they felt about that question using smileys. This was a quiet activity and my students really took the time to be thorough and decide how they felt about the problem (we had not gone over the answers yet.)

2. Team Discussion: I had my students work in groups to discuss their answers. They talked about each problem and all shared their answers. I told them it was okay to disagree and that they DID NOT have to change their answers at all, but that they needed to be open minded.

3. Reviewing Answers: The third page is what my students used when we were going over the answers. I pre-write the topics on there and just have them record whether they got that answer correct or incorrect. They can tally up their correct answers on this page so that they can figure out their percentage on the next page.

4. Overall reflect/glows and grows: On this page, I have students record their percentages and reflect on how they did. On the 'glows' I have them write or list what they're proud of (they use the previous page to see what topics they did well on). On the grows they write/list what they need to work on. For students that got everything correct, I still have them write the questions that maybe made them second-guess themselves or that they gave the frown-smiley to on the first page. Or I have them write about which topics they want to learn even more about.

I hope you find this topic as helpful as I did! The product uploaded is that exact one I used for my 5th graders but as previously stated, it is editable so you can delete/edit anything to fit your needs. I found it to be so much more useful than the simple test corrections.

***You can use it over and over again for different topics and subjects!***
