Please Read in Full: These are all 6 lesson plans of BEND 2, plus 2 more lessons I added myself, based on the NEW Reading Units of Study published July 2015. It is ESSENTIAL that you have the program/modules in order to implement the program in your classroom because it should be read thoroughly and there are resources that you need included with the purchase of the program. These are formal lesson plans I created that include all components, from the teaching point to the aim, rationale, standards, materials, motivation, active engagement, link, and share. I also blended in my own ideas, using video links to connect the major ideas, as well a my own original charts. There are pictures of program anchor charts I created for my own classroom, and printable materials you can use to create yours. These plans are great if your school requires you to have a lesson plan for everything because the teacher's guide is just that-a guide-not a plan, or if you need to do observations and hand in a formal lesson. If you are familiar with the writing units, then you will see these are similar. FOR THIS UNIT I USED THE STONE FOX 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION-AND THEN NOTICED THERE ARE OTHER EDITIONS THAT HAVE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT ILLUSTRATIONS AND PAGE NUMBERS VARY SLIGHTLY. I put a lot of thought into the lessons and will continue to do so while creating Bend 3. Stay tuned.
