This engaging activity is centered around character. Do you want your students to get a better understanding of a character? Do you want your students to recognize their point of view?
In this activity the students will create mask that SEE OUT into the world that they are living in. The students are designing their mask using a color matching system, where the colors each represent a certain meaning. It is up to the students to figure out what colors represent their character and why.
Finally, the students are able to analyze their choices through the written portion of this assignment. I recommend setting the stage after this. An example could be having your students wear the mask and interview one another, playing the character they designed the mask for.
