Students read a short one page passage on Ben Franklin's life and study a sample list of his skills and accomplishments. They then answer 5 opinion questions and complete 4 creative tasks. Answers are not included because they are all based on student opinion. This would be great for a sub!
Sample tasks include:
--creating his resume for a specific job
--discussing his value in helping create a new country or guiding an existing one through a revolution
--recreating a specific dinner table conversation he may have had
Sample questions include:
--What do you think is the most important reason today Benjamin Franklin is remembered and why? Would Franklin agree with you, why or why not? Would historians agree with you, why or why not?
--Why do you think Ben Franklin was chosen to be on the $100 bill? Should he remain on it, why or why not?
