This is a teaching tool for students to use with the epic poem Beowulf. The resource contains THREE COPIES of the same bookmark for ease of copying and laminating. This bookmark covers THE ENTIRE poem. Teachers may wish to provide this two-sided resource to learners with reading difficulties and English Language Learners, among others.
The front side contains general information about the poem as well as book summaries of the three sections of the poem. These summaries are roughly six sentences each, so may be used in conjunction with reading the work (rather than as a substitute).
The back side (this resource should be printed or copied double-sided) contains key words and definitions that will help learners make sense of unfamiliar language found in modern English translations of the text.
