This project allows students to explore the text and be creative writers all at the same time! By analyzing the standard image of a "hero" and a "villain," students will try to turn these standard images on their head. Beowulf isn't such a great hero and Grendel is misunderstood! Using evidence from the text, students will collect proof on a supplied graph and create a multimedia project to convince their peers that their point of view is correct. The projects get creative and the proof is always there! This is a great final project for this classic text that allows for students to explore new venues of persuasive thought. Optional paper/essay write-up as well!
