The Teaching Leader’s Guide was designed as a training tool for anyone facilitating the TBLS program, but is also a great 'teaching best practices' guide for any new educator. It is ideal for those educators who believes that teaching is more than just giving over information; more than getting students to do their homework; more than ensuring high test scores. It is for those who know that teachers have the power to change the world-and are committed to doing so-one student at a time.
The Teaching Leader’s Guide encourages teachers to see themselves as leaders-appreciating the great opportunities, as well as the responsibility that comes with leadership. Emphasizing experiential learning, the guide offers an extensive and diverse array of tips, tools, techniques, and resources, to support teachers in facilitating not just the ThinkBuildLive Success program, but any class, workshop or program, more successfully. The guide is experiential, filled with group activities, discussion questions, quotes, stories, and individual exercises to assist teachers in bringing any subject matter to life in a relevant and engaging way.
This guide curriculum offers an opportunity for teachers to leverage the skills they already have in order to enhance the depth and breadth of the work they’re doing now.
It invites teachers into the material in a way that is not about right and wrong or getting to any particular answer, but rather about entering into an active investigative process. We ask teachers to explore and experience TBLS for themselves as they determine how they want to approach the lessons.
