I use this project as the culminating activity for my unit on the 1990s. This project is designed to give students the freedom to explore a variety of topics related to American life and culture in the 1990s and create a list of the "best" and "worst" from the decade. I listed a variety of categories for students to consider, and I provided a list of topics for them to consider when creating the "best" and "worst". Usually, I have students create a slide presentation to share with the class, but the format could be altered to fit your classroom and instruction. This one is always a big hit with my students and leads to great conversation and debate (and a good walk down memory lane for me!). A rubric is included to assess student work.
