Betsy The Top Banana is a story for young children about how to include everyone-even if they don't look or act like us. The analogy is fruit and Betsy is the "top banana". This story accompanies the free lesson plan in my inventory which contain discussion questions and activities to follow-up with the story. It is a short, simple (clip art for pictures) and fun story for children and will open the door to conversations about diversity, cliques, and bullying. This is best for pre-k and kindergarten students. 1st graders may also enjoy this, especially if you follow it with fruit salad!
