This 31-slide power point presentation provides students with an overview of the period often referred to as "Between the Wars” and covers the major events that take place from the end of World War One until the beginning of World War Two. The power point begins with an overview of the ways in which the Treaty of Versailles created resentment in Germany and then covers topics such as the rise of Nationalism and leaders such as Hitler, Stalin, Tojo, Mussolini and FDR. The presentation then continues by examining the rise of the fascist leaders (Hitler, Mussolini, Franco) and Stalin in their respective countries. The presentation concludes by tying the rise of these leaders into the aggression that will ultimately lead to World War Two. Be sure to look for the “Guided Student Notes” that follow along with this presentation for students to complete while the lecture takes place.
