After introducing a key concept, keep your K-2 students talking about it at home with Please Ask Me About…© stickers!
Please Ask Me About…© stickers are CONVERSATION PROMPTS that invite parents to ask their child about a big idea explored at school.
The stickers are original, hand-drawn, appealing works of art to which you add a preprinted or handwritten discussion topic. They can be copied onto 4 x 3.33 removable labels and safely attached to clothing or paper.
This is how the Please Ask Me About…© stickers work. Simply fill in a sticker template with a chosen key concept, create one or two open-ended questions about the concept and type the question(s) into an editable parent letter. (The letter gives tips on how to best use the questions to engage in dialogue with their young learner.) Send the sticker and letter home with the student and the learning, thinking and language continue!!!
The EDITABLE PARENT LETTER, a list of OPEN-ENDED QUESTION OPTIONS and related COMMON CORE STANDARDS are all included in the FULL DOWNLOAD.
The stickers are great for schools, churches, temples, camps or just about any place involving K-2 learners. I used Please Ask Me About stickers with great success at a Saturday STEM camp for K-2 students, who were learning about plant parts. Teachers appreciated the carry-over to home and parents appreciated help in having meaningful questions to ask beyond “What did you learn (in school) today?”
The free Please Ask Me About…..© sticker , available in both color and black and white can be used for any content area. The ADDITIONAL STICKER CHOICES in the full download are both content-specific and general.
