This offering, believe it or not, is a puzzle. It's a puzzle integrating Bible History, book history, and math. I've constructed a "math essay". In order to complete the essay one must simplify some numbers raised to powers (You WILL be able to figure them all out; I've even included a blurb on how to cipher the powers mentally. It IS very possible . . . those of you who believe you are math-deficient.) in order to fill in appropriate dates and numbers. This does not "push" any one religion or sect, so it could even be used in a public classroom as it is a history of the printed word and parts of the Bible. It would be great for a general look, in a Sunday School Class or a Bible History Class, at the history of printing and books, in particular, the Bible. A sixth grader would be able to handle the math involved, but perhaps adults would feel more comfortable working in teams (?). Upon completion of the "essay" there's a "secret message" that is also quite apt. I like to blend my learnings.
