PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

During this season of my life, I mostly write out of necessity for my own children. Recently, I wanted to have my fifth grade daughter do an age-appropriate Bible Study, but just couldn't find what I was looking for. I had a few requirements. I wanted it to have her reading from her own Bible. I didn't want it to be overwhelming. I wanted it to instill some truths into her. I didn't want her to dread her Bible Time each day.

So...the Bible Character Study series was born. Ruth was the first study I created. The second study was on Hannah. The third was Rebekah. (You can find those titles here on TpT.)

At the request of my son, I wrote this study is on Job. It takes just two week to complete!

Each page includes word checks with definitions to aid in understanding. There are relevant and thoughtful questions throughout. The chapters are divided into manageable and content appropriate chunks.

In addition, there is a keepsake box that she will make during the study. This is my daughter's favorite part! All you need is an empty cereal box! You print and tape the cover, included with this resource, to the box. There is a list of suggested items that you add to the box each day. The item relates to what she learned that day.

Take a look...

Suggested items for your character study box:

Day 1 –stick (sacrificing involved burning an offering)

Day 2 –play money (Job was rich. God had blessed him.)

Day 3 –torn piece of cloth (Job tore his robe when he heard the bad news the messengers told him.)

Day 4–bandaid (Job got sores on his body from head to foot.)

Day 5 –playdough worm (Job’s sores were so bad, there were worms in them! Yuck!)

Day 6 - draw or print a picture of your friend (Job’s three friends came to visit him.)

Day 7-cut a paper circle into a spiral-much like you do when making a paper plate snake (God spoke to Job from a whirlwind.)

Day 8 – toy dinosaur (God describes some creatures that sound like dinosaurs.)

Day 9 –two of something – like 2 buttons, 2 pencils… (God gave Job twice as much as he had before.)

Day 10 – put this completed book in your box

I'm already busy with my next Bible Character Study because my children want to continue! I am so grateful that they are getting excited about reading and studying God's Word.

Hope your children enjoy this study too! There's so much God can teach us through His Word!

For His glory,

Kathy:)
