Need a fun end of the year game? Memorizing the books of the Bible is great but actually finding them is another skill altogether. This is a list of 100+ New Testament verses that will give your class the needed practice in finding all the New Testament books. Call out the reference and have the students find it in their Bibles. The first one to find it and stand up gets to read it out loud. If the same student(s) is always first, give them credit for being first but let others take turns reading.
Verses are appropriate for any grade and vary in length. The reference and the verse are both given for your convenience. Verses are from the King James Version since there is no copyright on it. If you are using a different version, you will still be able to use this list to know if the student has found the correct verse. There are several for each New Testament book. Some of the longer books have more verses.
There are seven pages of verses for you to use for this activity! This is a convenient list of verses that are appropriate for all ages. No guess work and no teacher prep required!
Here is an example of what is given -
Mark 10:27 – And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
