This is a printable mystery puzzle that is kinesthetic or hands-on for vocabulary terms that correspond to the Holt Bien Dit 2® Chapter 4 Vocabulary 2 section as well as extended vocabulary for any computer or Internet unit a teacher might be developing. All you need to do is print, cut, and shuffle. Students match sides with the French computer term and the English equivalent. This is a nice change of pace activity that students benefit from as a warm up, review, or in place of flashcards.
If you want them to repeat the activity, have the student choose one card that is on the bottom and make it into a side card, shuffle the cards and simply making the students visually rotate the puzzle from portrait to landscape makes the student reply on understanding the term rather than recalling its location.
To set it up, print one per student or one per pair depending on class needs, laminate if possible, cut (paper cutter?), shuffle and place the pieces in mini plastic bags such as snack bags or craft zip locks made for beads and other small crafts.
