Students work in pairs to match up their 12 pictures with their partner's by describing the pictures in French, using "il y a". This game also practices numbers 1-12 and letters A-L. This is a great way to give novice learners the opportunity to practice speaking.
Complete directions are included.

The teacher takes the role of “Partenaire A”. Distribute copies of the “Partenaire B” page to students. Have them write the numbers 1-12 on separate sheet of paper. The teacher starts with number 1 and describes the picture. The students find the corresponding picture on their sheet and write that letter next to the number on their sheet of paper. Keep going until you've gone through all of the pictures.
