This NO PREP
game is a fun and interactive way to practice location and means of transportation vocabulary from Bien dit 1 Chapitre 9. This product includes 2 versions
: one with images in color; one with images in black and white. The vocabulary words are identical on each game. Most words come from Chapitre 9 with a few vocabulary words recycled from previous units.
Additional materials needed: Bingo markers in different colors or something to function as markers. Dice for one of the versions of the game.
The goal of this game is to take 4 boxes in a row: vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
Two different ways to play this game are included in the directions In order to win a box in the basic version, the player needs to give the name of the place in French, including the correct article. In the more challenging version of the game, players are asked to formulate sentences using the verb "aller", the location indicated in the box on the game board, plus a means of transport as indicated by rolling a die.
Players take turns with play continuing until one person has won 4 boxes in a row.
Unlike a true Connect 4 game, in this version a marker can be placed anywhere on the board.
Players need to try to get 4 in a row while simultaneously blocking their opponent from doing the same.
Vocabulary words used in this game: musée, église, école, arrêt d'autobus, maison, banque, fleuriste, zoo, poste, hôpital, librarie, boutique, station de métro, marché, pharmacie, café, salon de coiffure.
