**As an SLP, I personally use this lesson plan in conjunction with Kindergarten McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders Unit 1 Week 1
-Essential Question: How can we get along with new friends?
-Category: Feeling Words
-Theme: Making Friends

Lesson Plan Includes:
-Vocabulary pre-test and post-test data sheet
-Comprehension questions and answers
-Various language questions that include compare/contrast, naming, and riddles
-6 vocabulary words, definitions, and model sentences
-Flashcards of the vocabulary words with clip art pictures
-Various vocabulary questions (synonyms, antonyms, personal connection)
-Retell model
-Retell rubric
-6 ocean animal cards
-4 feelings cards
-Feelings and Ocean Animals Label cards to use while sorting
-6 what question cards with visual
-6 where question cards with visual
-Draw the problem and solution worksheet
-Draw the character's feelings in the beginning and then in the ending of the story worksheet
-Draw a time when you were sad/happy worksheet

Actual story of Big Al is not included
