This activity is one that uses teamwork, cooperation, any type of manipulative skill (mainly throwing, tossing, or rolling though), speed, quickness, and accuracy. The objective of this activity is to work together as a team to move an object from point A to B in open space avoiding obstacles. This activity can be done at any grade level K-12 or higher. The lower the grade level, the less challenging you can make the activity. The higher the Grade level, the more challenging you can make the activity, but this all depends on how you want to present it to your class. This activity is good for cooperative activities because you have to work in small groups or teams. This activity shows the students how to work together to achieve a goal as quickly as possible and they enjoy it because of the challenge it may bring to the class. The level of difficulty depends on the amount of time the teacher wants to take to make this as hard as possible. There isn’t a lot of equipment needed, but it will take a little bit more time to set up if you want to really challenge your students. The setup and take down of the equipment can be simplified just by having the students do the work. Try this activity if you are looking for something new and exciting, especially dealing with cooperation and teamwork. This activity requires little to no skill level to enjoy and can cover basic skills. The challenge is for the teacher to decide how they want to setup the room for the students.
