Big letters have so many uses in a literacy-focused classroom!
These big letters can be laminated, cut out, and used to create a classroom array of letters similar to the game Boggle. Students can join adjacent letters to form words and record the words on the student pages that are included.
Big letters can also be used in a pocket chart, on a white board, or just laid out on the carpet for a variety of word-building or making words activities and lessons. They can be used whole class or small group, or individual students can work with the letters independently to make words.
This set of letters is plain, without a thematic focus. But check back for monthly letters to spice up your students' spelling and word work activities. This set contains three student pages, plus ideas for their use.
