1) Analyze a partial Periodic Tables showing element Electronegativities Down Groups 1, 2, 16 & 17 (1A, 2A, 6A & 7A)
2) Fill-in a Data & Pattern Table on the Trends in Chemical Reactivity within the Alkali Metals and Halogen Groups
3) Determine & Write:
Element Symbol
Electronegativity (resourced from prior Table)
and
the Symbolic Reactivity rating (1 star for least . . .)
4) Complete with Electronegativities a Data & Pattern Table comparing reactivity Across a Period between neighboring Alkali & Alkaline metals, and between Group 16 Nonmetals and their Halogen neighbors
5) Answer 45 Fill-in-the-Blank and Multiple-choice questions based on their Determinations & Observations from the preceding Data & Pattern Tables
6) Be compelled to present their work in a neat & orderly format
7) Be trained to thoroughly understand the Trends in Chemical Reactivity Down and Across Main Group Metal and Nonmetal Families and Periods methodically & systematically
