These activities are designed to help students learn to use correct subject-verb agreement, specifically is/are, have/has, and was/were in sentences. Included in this pack are:
*sorting mats for each (is/are, was/were, have/has), and sentences to sort onto each mat using various pronouns and subjects (pages 3-13) . Students determine which word is missing from the sentence (is/are, was/were, have/has) and sort the cards accordingly. Each card is labeled with the corresponding tense to keep cards organized.
*”3 Ring Circus” open-ended reinforcement game- a “Candy Land” type game in which players advance around the board based on the colors drawn from the card pile (pages 14-15).
*”Scrambled Circus Sentences” activities-cut apart the various words to create your own sentences on the sentence strips (popcorn sentence strips on page 16, words to cut out/arrange on pages 17-18). How many words can your students arrange in each sentence?!
