Product Description

This C3 Social Studies bilingual (Spanish/English) activity addresses the overarching question: HOW CAN I BETTER ANALYZE IMPORTANT HISTORICAL EVENTS?

Students are asked to support their claim with evidence. Any historical event would work nicely!

Students will first answer questions to gather information, and then will write an essay regarding any historical event that you assign to them. You may choose to have students expand upon the product. The essay, once finished, could be turned into any product you wish.

This document contains two separate assignments; one in English and one in Spanish. This document is perfect for bilingual or dual language upper level courses.

There are multiple questions that students will answer, in relation to an historical event that the teacher assigns. The questions in this assignment address the 4 fields of social studies: HISTORY, CIVICS, GEOGRAPHY, and ECONOMICS.

  • BACKGROUND
  • HISTORY
  • CIVICS
  • GEOGRAPHY
  • ECONOMICS

Depending on the age and readiness level of students, the historical event could be brand new, or one that is familiar to students. In some cases, students may need the teacher to provide the appropriate resources to encounter the necessary information, while in others, students may conduct their own research.

This assignment can be used as a research project, a group assignment, an independent assignment, or a summative assessment.
