A set of common animal cards with clear pictures and labels in both English and te reo Māori. Macrons are used. Multiple Māori names are provided for some animals to allow users to select the name used in their region. Ask a kaumatua or local expert for advice if you are unsure of what name to use.
Set includes: cat, dog, horse, cow, donkey, fish, goat, sheep, dolphin, shark, mouse, pig, rabbit, duck, bird, elephant, lion, chicken, bee, deer, bat, monkey, monarch, butterfly, spider, snail, frog, caterpillar, whale and ladybird, as well as blank cards for your own use. Each A4 page includes four animals.
Also includes cards with just a picture, just the Māori name, and just the English name, to allow children to match up a set of all three. Downloadable link to a set of 30 Bingo boards is also included within the teacher's notes.
These cards can be used for displays, memory games, labels, worksheets, in the dramatic play area...the list is endless.
