This primary source activity begins as you read with the class the introductory paragraph.
Students then work individually and read an excerpt from Amendment 1: Freedom of religion, speech, and the press; rights of assembly and petition. The excerpt is followed by statements pertaining to Amendment 1 in which class members must identify missing words or terms from the amendment.
This continues in the same way with Amendments 2-10.
Easy-to-follow Teacher Instructions and answer key included, along with a 20-question follow up quiz to measure student progress. The quiz can also be given as a homework assignment.
