Another in the series..."Get em up and Movin!" In this fun filled active learning strategies task, students use the Bill of Rights “Find a Friend” organizer to identify the amendments being described from the Bill of Rights. When students find “a classmate who can identify the amendment being described,” they write that person’s initials or name on their organizer. The goal of the task is to meet and talk to as many classmates as possible within the allotted time. Students love to race to see who can collect the most names and correct answers within a five minute time period.
Teacher's love this activity because students are up, moving, engaged, and they can assess to see who has really understood and retained the content.
Use this activity as a lesson opener, closer, or as a review task.
