One page (2 sided) worksheet based on the Bill of Rights. After studying the Bill of Rights students will apply the amendments to real life, simple situations. Students will be required to list the amendment & the "catch phrase" that goes with the amendment. This lesson works greats as an individual or partners activity. Directions and key are provided. This is a ready to print and use today lesson. This is a great first lesson when introducing the Constitution & Bill of Rights to students.
There is also a companion activity - Bill of Rights power point, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Bill-of-Rights-Power-Point-Amendments-1-10-1345938, that can use used with this handout. You can also use the Constitution in your textbook or an on-line copy of the Constitution will work too.
I have also created a harder version of this lesson that has more detailed, complex situations. It can be a great follow-up lesson to this activity. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Bill-of-Rights-Hypothetical-Situations-1080658
