This engaging and fun activity has students walk around the classroom viewing Picture Puzzles related to the Bill of Rights. Some pictures are puzzles that the students need to solve. Students will do the Gallery Walk while completing a corresponding worksheet. They will use the included Bill of Rights Glossary to browse words and definitions to help them solve the puzzle clues. Each picture puzzle has “letters” that will unscramble a final clue. You could turn this in to a class competition!! Clues are given to help students unscramble the final clue.Gallery Walks are an awesome way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks to help introduce new knowledge or reinforce existing knowledge. I love using gallery walks in my own classroom because they integrate movement into a lesson. Kinesthetic learners are highly engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
This is the perfect front-loading activity which introduces students to words they will learn when studying the Bill of Rights.
