Do you need a tool to help students memorize the Bill of Rights? This product includes printables, videos, and teacher notes about each of the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

Research shows that using a mnemonic device is a great way to help your brain make the connections it needs to grow dendrites and retain information. The mnemonic devices included for each of the amendments includes a rhyme for recalling the number of the amendment and a cartoon that connects to the content and meaning of the amendment. Kid-friendly language is used to help students of a wide range of ages master all ten of the amendments.

The teacher notes include each of the following sections: MUSTS, NOTES, and PLACEMENT. Teaching notes are anecdotal and related directly to my experience using these mnemonic devices with hundreds of students.

Many learning entry points can be utilized with this resource. Visual spatial, linguistic, and interpersonal intelligences can all be addressed through use of this resource.

Handy videos of me drawing each of the cartoons are included in the PowerPoint as well of as a graphic of my completed cartoon. Videos are embedded in a PowerPoint and linked through YouTube and Safe Share websites in case you are less comfortable with drawing the cartoons. You can simply play the video of me drawing them, pause and replay as you like, and use the teaching notes to help your students understand what each of the cartoons mean and how to connect them to the content of the amendment. The provided QR codes can also be a great way to help students who are absent or with allowing students time to review and study the content.

A Quiz with a provided answer key is also included to allow for pre and post testing.
