This worksheet is a helpful tool when teaching the Bill of Rights. I use it for students to go through each of the 1st 10 amendments. Students take notes and write the amendments in their own words and then draw an illustration to depict the rights given by each amendment. Students then add these sheets to their interactive notebooks.
This download also includes a hand-out of the Bill of Rights and 1st 10 Amendments.
This worksheet pairs well with my "Bill of Rights - Break it Down" powerpoint. Students can see what rights they have and understand the importance of their rights and freedoms given in the Bill of Rights.
This activity was designed with 8th graders in mind, but it could also work for 7th graders, as well as high school students.
I hope this product is beneficial to you and your classroom. Please let me know if you see anything additional that should be added and I will do my best to do so!
