Product Description
A first day cover is an envelope containing a commemorative stamp with appropriate postmark and added artwork. Start off a Bill of Rights lesson by allowing students to analyze a 1966 stamp that is an editorial cartoon, then allow them time to identify facts connected to the Bill of Rights as found in the postmark and artwork. If time allows, let students stand in the artwork and identify and describe the emotions that a Federalist or Anti Federalist might have experienced as the first ten amendments were drafted and then signed.
