Students will use their knowledge of the first ten amendments of the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, to complete a math-based worksheet. They substitute the ideas on the worksheet with the numbers of the amendments each idea represents and solve simple math problems.
For example: freedom of speech + right to bear arms = ____
answer: 1 + 2 = 3
It worked fabulously in my 7th grade US History class. The difficulty of the math can be adjusted for different grade levels. It's cross-curricular and fun! Answer key included.
