In the original Star Wars (A New Hope: Episode 4), Luke Sky Walker dreams of life beyond Tatooine as he watches a Binary Sun Set. With this idea as a backdrop, students are asked to imagine life in a binary system.
In our solar system Jupiter has been referred to as a "Failed Sun." With this project students need to think creatively based on what they already know about the solar system. In the end, students will think about the consequences of an additional sun in the solar and create a digital model accordingly.
