Bingo Places Around Town
To learn different locations in a city and practice hearing them/saying them.
Bingo calling card (cut the squares and place in a bag, box, or bowl so the caller cannot see what he/she is picking.)
Bingo cards with words or without words. Print in color and laminate them for longer use.
Bingo chips or bag of beans. Give each student 15 – 20 pieces. You could use candy pieces for a treat.
The teacher or maybe another student can be the caller.
Have the caller blindly pick out a Place around Town square from the bag, and say the word (do not show the picture.)
The students place a bean or cover chip on their card.
When a student gets 5 in a row (horizon, vertical, or diagonally,) they should yell, “Bingo!”
Confirm that all of their covered spots are correct. If yes, they are the winner and the game starts over. If they are incorrect, they can either sit out the rest of the game or correct their card and continue.
You can use the bingo cards with words to start and then move toward the bingo cards without words for increasing difficulty.
