Hemispheric Specialization, lateralization, and split brain concepts are not easy for psychology students to understand. This resource includes three different ways for students to learn the basic tenants of cerebral dominance. Doodle notes helps students know which "brain" does what special task; A close read engages students with an overview of lateralization of function and helps them question its application in pop culture; finally, a RAFT activity has students read an article about split brains and take on the role of one hemisphere who misses being able to talk to its other hemisphere. The creativity and critical thinking are oozing out of this resource!
All resources include essential questions and learning targets, suggested agendas and directions, easy to print copies, and a scoring guide to assess their learning.
