This is such a fun, fast way to assess students to see if they know the difference between adaptive and assistive technology. As the teacher shouts out the words "ASSISTIVE" or "ADAPTIVE", students will race to touch a picture that represents what is being called out. Example: The teacher calls out "ASSISTIVE". Students race to touch the picture "CRUTCHES". Rules (and teacher notes) are included with this activity.
My students call this "RAPID FIRE". It's a quick way to assess students while they get to "play a game" at the same time. It's great to use as a time filler if you finish class a few minutes early. If you laminate the handouts, they will last a lot longer.
