An activity in which students draw a 'portrait' of themselves using a key by which each aspect of the portrait conveys personal information about themselves, e.g. number of siblings, gender, eye color, etc. (See the preview for an example.)
This full version includes an introduction, both a Latin and English version of the bioglyph, and two glossaries, one a full alphabetical one and the other a topical one (body parts, objects, colors). The topical one is intended for more advanced students while the alphabetical (or both) is intended for beginning students.
This is a great beginning of the year activity in that it combines students using their Latin and getting to know their classmates.
There is a single page version of this activity for $1.00 that includes only the Latin bioglyph without any of the extras.
This activity can be used with any level of Latin student, depending on how much assistance the teacher wants to provide (whether the aids included here or his/her own).
