After two pages of biographical text there are eighteen multiple choice questions. They assess the vocabulary words: corporation and philanthropist. The questions also assess the reading comprehension skills of: author’s purpose, cause-and-effect relationships, locating details, making inferences, and drawing conclusions. Because the questions are patterned after those on standardized test, this can also be considered a test prep. There is a colorful portrait of Mr. Carnegie and an answer key.
