This package includes clear directions, a detailed rubric, and a template for a book report on a biography. After reading a biography, students will design and color a "bust" of their person and will write a report describing the person's early life, contributions, characteristics/hardships, and reasons why they chose this person. Essentially, students will write 4 paragraphs. These paragraphs will be typed on two pages that will be attached to serve as the "base" for their character's bust.
Directions clearly and completely lay out all required materials, formatting, and requirements. There are example pages showing the formatting and what kind of information students should include in each paragraph. Example pages also explain how the finished report should be attached.
The rubric full explains all requirements and point values. Under categories that are more than 1 point, point values and explanations are provided so that students understand expectations. This, along with organized categories that follow the structure of the written paper, provides easy grading for the teacher. This book report is valued at 35 total points.
Essentially, the completed project will look like a museum bust that you can display on the wall.
This product may only be distributed to students in your own classroom. For additional use, others must purchase this package.
