Do you have many levels of reading abilities in your class? As your students read biographies that are at their reading level you can also assign questions for them to use for their report, at their level as well. The three tiers of questions listed, based on Bloom's Taxonomy, will drive their reading, note taking, and report writing. Each group must identify nine important events in the life of their famous person. That is a pretty standard requirement. But the synthesis level questions ask them to also write a final chapter in the life of their famous person, had they lived longer. The three tiers of questions help you to differentiate beyond reading ability.
