This is a wonderful project that allowed my students to not only get to know their oldest living family member but it also allowed them to hear about history from a person that lived through it. This project always turned out so beautiful and the students took great pride in their work. In the end, they made something that will be treasured by recipient.
At the tea, the students greatly looked forward to presenting their project to the family member they wrote about. Due to time constraints, students would share a short summary and their dedication page.
This project became an annual tradition that families always looked forward to. I hope that it brings you much joy!
I have included the project with guidelines, interview questions and rubric. I have also included invitations that are in color and black & white. There are 2 variations of the invitations: full page and half page.
