This unit includes everything you need to teach your students about biographies and then have them write one of their own.
There are 11 articles with comprehension questions for each one (Two multiple choice questions and three short answer). Use these articles to introduce your students to 11 famous Americans and to teach them about what a biography is.

Also included are student notes for researching their famous American and Biography report paper for each famous american.
The unit also includes biography speech note cards for students to plan a short speech.
I have provided a poster for each of the 11 famous Americans and a "Famous Americans" title in red for you to create a bulletin board while your students are studying these famous Americans. The bulletin board can also be used to show off your students' hard work when they are done!
Finally, I have included different rubrics for the three assignments (diary, biography report, and speech).
