Teach your students how to write informational writing pieces by having them write biographies! Students will learn about an assigned influential person while also practicing informational writing!
Students will choose a person's name out of a hat, note take while researching the person, use their notes to plan for writing and complete a rough draft, then write their final copies to share with the class! When students are finished, have them present their writing to the class and learn from each other!
Biographies make for a great bulletin board for Black History Month or Women's History Month!
