This document reviews the properties of the four biological macromolecules and provides students with a chance to observe which types of foods contain each macromolecule. Perfect for a real life application to your biochemistry unit!
Students will need to bring in a food label (or several!) and add it to the class collection. They will then choose three food labels from the collection to analyze and reflect upon, helping them to gain a better understanding of how the biological macromolecules matter in their lives.

Please note: I print out the first two pages and hand out as a class set. This provides students with a brief introduction on how to read a food label as well as a quick review of the four biological macromolecules.
