This product is a colorful demonstration of biological magnification. Using simple chemicals found in any middle school or high school science lab, you can demonstrate the intensified chemical accumulation of pesticides or other poisons in an ecosystem. Students will watch the chemical intensify as it moves through the trophic levels of a simple food chain. This demonstration is very easy to set up and your students will be asking, "How did you do that?"
Demonstration requires Phenolphthalein Indicator Solution and Sodium Hydroxide as well as flasks, beakers or graduated cylinders in 5 different sizes.
