Looking for something to do in those tricky few days before break? Engage students in transcription and translation practice to make a Christmas cookie. The "recipe" is a strand of DNA which students must transcript into mRNA then translate into an amino acid sequence. They then use a key to decode which traits their cookie will have. Students can create their cookie drawings from scratch or use the templates provided.
Included are 24 different "recipes" for the cookies so no two students will have the same cookie (in large classes make extra copies of several cookies).
