This 30-week technology-based high school Biology curriculum makes a great alternative for any student that has difficulty focusing on or reading a science textbook. The weekly lesson guides include PowerPoint presentations for content delivery, student worksheets, lab experiments, and activities.
Planning to do Biology with your homeschooler? Take the stress and anxiety out of your year!
After using my own resources to teach Biology in both public and homeschool settings, I have compiled these materials to create a 30-week curriculum designed for independent learners. This curriculum makes a perfect alternative for any student that has difficulty focusing on or reading a science textbook.
What will this instruction look like in my school room?
Each week, students use a weekly guide to move through the content and activities at their own pace.
Content is delivered through PowerPoint presentations with full-color diagrams, highlighted vocabulary terms, and video links.
While viewing the PowerPoint content, students complete the coinciding worksheets. These are editable so parents/teachers can modify or reduce the number of questions, if necessary.
Students use hands-on activities or lab experiments to practice the information they've learned. Materials, directions, and student discussion questions are provided for each activity.
*A lab supply list is provided for parents. Most materials are simple household items, but other inexpensive materials can be purchased online. Links and item numbers are all provided for easy purchasing.
The full curriculum includes:
-30 weekly lesson guides
-700+ PowerPoint slides
-31 sets (70+ pages) of coinciding student worksheets
-35 labs and hands-on activities
-Lab supply lists and parent directions
-Answer keys for all worksheets and labs
*Click on the PREVIEW to view the table of contents and to get a closer look at the resources available in this curriculum.*
This is a family license. You may use this product for any member of your family this year or in future years. If you are purchasing this product to use in a co-op setting with multiple families, add 1 license ($38) for each additional child (you can do this at checkout).
What makes this curriculum "Christian"?
The evolution unit is the only topic in which Christian views arise. The Creation/Evolution debate is presented with many links for further reading for students to form their own opinions regarding the origins of life. No conclusions are drawn for the students. This delivery works well for any student, regardless of their world-view, as it prepares them to explain the reasoning behind their opinions.
More views of the curriculum can be found on my website including an example of a weekly lesson guide with live web-links to a sample PowerPoint, lab, and student worksheet.
If you have any questions about this curriculum, the resources included, or how to implement it, please feel free to send them to me using the "Ask A Question" tab on my store page.
