These question sheets provide both multiple-choice and short answer questions. Each packet contains at least one short-answer question that requires critique and revision. Some contain an example of a poor response to the question. Students must critique the response, write a new response, and explain how their response addresses the issues in the original. Other packets have students write a response, exchange and edit responses with a partner, and then revise their original response. The packets are intended to be reviewed together as a class in order to improve test-taking skills and responses. They work best when discussed thoroughly so that students have frequent modeling of good test-response skills.
This set includes one question set on each of the following: characteristics of life, levels of organization, organelles, and prokaryotes/eukaryotes.
